Our little home business was built out of a desire to offer skincare with clean ingredients, while focusing on true beauty…..1 Samuel 16:7 ….”for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.”
Not only do we offer products with clean ingredients, but I’ll show you how to make and use some of these products yourself!
I so hope you feel welcome here……my name is Holly – I created this space to share with you natural skin care products, to show you how to make some of your own skincare products, & how to apply makeup that looks natural – even if you have lots to cover up! And most importantly, how our physical beauty does not define us….God sees our heart!Â
The Beginning
My journey with natural skin care began with a need……I began to see more age spots, wrinkles, and motherhood had brought about a whole new level of looking tired! The problem? I couldn’t afford going to the cosmetic counter and paying a pretty price for those fancy lotions and creams that promised to deliver a youthful look!
Not one to be deterred…..I started experimenting on my own. About this same time, I also became intensely passionate about natural and simple living.
So…..after many failed attempts and thrown out batches, I came up with a few products that I loved – even more so than store bought versions.
I began giving them away as gifts to family and friends…..and hence, Mud Creek Makeup Co. was born.
Why Mud Creek? It’s a special place at the back of our property – it’s actually across the fence on our neighbors side – you see we live out in the middle of the Kansas prairie, surrounded by wheat fields and pasture land – we dubbed this little nameless creek “mud creek”, because every time I took my 3 boys back there – they always ended up muddy. It has remained a favorite place to play, have adventures, and watch the afternoons roll by.
So when deciding on a name for my little home business – it was unanimously voted that it should have Mud Creek in the name – although I’m here to guarantee we don’t add any of its mud to our products!

I’ve been in business since the spring of 2019. I’ve shipped locally and all over the United States – almost 400 orders and growing!
I’ve been married to my best friend, Dusty, for 22 years – we have 3 boys ages 13, 10, & 7. We live on a little farm/ranch on the Kansas prairie where I home school and strive to teach my boys about what it looks like to daily live for Jesus.
I plan to continue to add more products, tutorials, and videos – feel free to holler with any ideas or questions you have!
