Willow Bark Toner

Description

This toner comes in a 2 oz glass spray bottle. It is excellent for acne prone skin – but really all skin types will benefit from it’s use. You can apply this toner directly after cleansing, or if you use the Aging Well Hyaluronic Acid Serum, I always apply it after this serum. Either way is fine. Simply lightly mist your face with a couple of sprays – or you could spray on your fingers or a cotton ball and rub it in that way if you prefer.

This is just another product in your “arsenal” of products to help with all things relating to protecting and maintaining the integrity of your skin. The ingredients are: Aloe Vera Gel, Witch Hazel, Willow Bark Extract, Tea Tree Essential Oil, Rosemary Essential Oil, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil.

Aloe Vera Gel – contains polysaccharides that encourage skin repair and new skin cell growth, very soothing and anti-inflammatory, has some antibacterial and antiseptic properties, can also help with skin elasticity and firmness.

Witch Hazel – helps to shrink pores and reduce inflammation, the polyphenols it contains help to fight with premature aging, it’s astringent and can help your skin be firmer and yours pores reduced, antibacterial and can help reduce any redness, overall improves skin tone.

Willow Bark Extract – a source of natural salicylic acid like ingredients, includes tannins which help reduce the size of your pores as well as helping to control excess oil production, contains polyphenols which are antioxidants that grab onto the free radicals preventing skin damage and potentially cancer, also contains flavonoids, which help protect your skin from UV exposure, improves your skins barrier, helps with exfoliation, and has antibacterial properties.

Tea Tree Essential Oil – antibacterial and antifungal – helps to target certain bacteria and therefore can be very beneficial for fighting acne.

Rosemary Essential Oil – antioxidant, anti-inflammatory

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil – antibacterial, helps balance oil production,, fights free radicals and helps cells regenerate faster which in turn can help with skin looking smoother and reduction of fine lines.
